Why is there always such a big deal about the price of gold going up and down and you never really here about platinum or any other mineral when it goes up in price?
So with the prices going up and down. What does that for jewelery makers, do they suffer for the cost of making the jewelery?

Hi Lorie-Lynne,
We hear about gold more than other metals mainly because it’s more popular as a consumer product as in jewelry etc. and as a historic store of value ie: money. There are some good articles on here about platinum which by the way is now worth twice the price of gold.
When the gold price increases you can expect the cost of jewelry to rise with it.
